Navy’s Print the Fleet initiative that can be later replicated at other locations.The Workshop Structure and Learning Activities The first workshop was delivered to active duty sailors at the end of January 2017. In total, 15Creating the Fleet Maker workshops will be executed and assessed. Each workshop is designedfor 20 sailors. Researchers have noted that some course instructorssimply lecture but rarely help students make the connection between teaching and learning.4-5The SI program is based on group sessions led twice a week for one hour by a peer leader whohas already completed the course with a grade of an A or B. workshop were more hands-on with electronics/electromechanical systems which requiredsome knowledge of circuits.Pre/Post Survey: Concept QuestionsFor workshop 1, the answers Pre/Post survey multiple-choice questions show a trend ofimprovement in understanding of the concepts after the workshop (Appendix B). The multiple-choice questions were mainly focused on concepts on basics of electricity, circuits, motors, andquadcopters. From the results, we concluded that even though concepts in circuits, motors andquadcopters had shown positive trend (18 out of 23 questions), answers to electricity-relatedquestions did not show an improvement.
