Engineering Education, 2025Navigating Dual Roles: Challenges, Impacts, and Resource Needs of Student-Parents in Engineering ProgramsIntroduction Student-parents embody a unique and growing demographic in higher education, balancing theroles of caregiver and student with determination. Over a quarter of all undergraduate students are studentparents, and almost half of all undergraduate student-parents are enrolled in community colleges (Noll etal., 2017). Additionally, 35.5% of master’s program students, and 28.4% of doctoral program students(National Center for Education Statistics, 2010) in the United States are parents. For these individuals, education is both a personal and family investment, offering pathways to economic mobility

The proposed emitter follower circuit will follow the conventional configuration, where aPMOS current mirror will be used for biasing at base of the bipolar transistor. This relativelysimple and functional circuit has two voltage sources V1 (DC) and V2 (sinusoidal AC), adecoupling capacitor C2 on the input side, a load resistor R1, a biasing resistor R2, an NPN BJTQ1, and two PMOS transistors M1 and M2 for the current mirror. Additionally, the output voltageVout is at the emitter of Q1 as shown in Figure 2. Teams of three students (with at least one MEand one EE/CE) will be provided with
