Garrick (6) discusses the value of having students viewmultimedia videos viewing in an engineering technology course before their class. These wereshort videos of about 5-10 minutes, typical of what one might find on Khan Academy andsimilar to our approach. The BEST program isdifferent than many robotics type programs in that the cost to the schools is minimized.The local BEST Hub provides their schools with returnable kits and non-returnable kitsto be used to construct the robot for that year’s competition.
