Thetotal CO emissions by all modes, which are 123.99 tones/day in 2001 would increase to179.11 tones/day by the year 2025.Study indicate that cars, which have a share of 12% in passenger kms emit 38.6% of totalemissions, whereas buses, which have a 50.7% share in passenger kms are emitting 2.3% ofthe total emissions.
