This is a void that artificial intelligence can fill. More specifically, a properlytrained neural network can perform a continuous analysis on high-resolution core images fromtop to bottom. ).Graduation rates among transfer students are lower than students entering four-year programs inyear one, and the TranSCEnD program was deliberately designed to provide these students withacademic, social and financial support. Three major components were included to improvecohort-building and thereby impact success. Students admitted to the program (1) engaged in agroup summer bridge project, (2) completed a single-term success seminar, and (3) wereprovided a scholarship for continued informal engagement with the comprehensive TranSCEnDteam throughout their years at UTK. Thismeant that it was very important to have clear learning objectives.As an example, the learning objectives for a session for K-8 teachers and a session for highschool counselors are compared in Table 1. The work ofengineers and researchers has human implications, both beneficial and detrimental, as well asequitable and inequitable [2]. Artificial intelligence, for example, is an area of research in whichadvancing technology can perpetuate harm when development is not paired with rigorous equitystandards. A 2019 study found that a popular healthcare algorithm used to assess risk levels ofpatients was racially biased; sicker Black patients were measured as equivalent to healthier whitepatients, resulting in reduced levels of care for some Black patients [6]. The DYP approach provides students with skills needed to becomeeffective and successful World Class Engineering Students (WCES).Original Course CurriculumThe Introduction to Engineering course at Wentworth Institute of Technology has been offeredeach fall semester to around 400 first-year students. The course is delivered in sections of around65 students each, representing all engineering majors. This one-credit lecture module met onceper week, for fifty-minute lectures, twelve times during the semester. The original sequence oftopics covered is shown in Appendix A
