Students were highly critical when smallitems did not conform to expectations; for example, dissatisfaction was expressed whenevery navigation icon did not appeared in the exactly the same location on every screen. When evaluating feedback on specific questions, we were initially puzzled by thestudents’ responses. However, we soon saw the pattern: students wanted figures withevery question. This is likely a desire to understand the physical context and conceptualstructure of the system.
