In the same year,Emil Post independently developed algorithm machines that have come to be known as Postmachines [29]. Turing machines and Post machines are proven to be equivalent and their theorydeveloped in 1930s and 1940s has provided the foundation of the theory of computation. Turingmachines are the most popular models for recursively enumerable sets mentioned above.Following Cohen [6], we define Turing machines as follows. Workingin groups, students were tasked to write a program to move small parts from one location into acommon bin for all parts. During the robotics laboratory session, students were allowed to asktheir group and the instructor as many questions as needed to complete the task. At thecompletion of the robotics laboratory session, students were asked how effective theirinteractions were with the instructor in enhancing their learning in this laboratory session.All LaboratoriesAll of the surveys employed in this study were on a 5-point Likert scale. The sample size for thisstudy was 19. Weighted averages were calculated to evaluate the student experience in theselaboratory
research experience and strengthening their confidence and interest in pursuing aSTEM profession. The first junior-level BMED course is BMED 310: Biomedical Measurement andAnalysis. After completing BMED 310, students continue to complete core and technical areaelectives. There are three concentration options: General (no concentration), Bioinstrumentation,and Mechanical Design. Overall, Biomedical Engineering

It isintended to provide conclusions to inform other peers in engineering education in the U.S. and othercountries. The program included 40 high school students recruited from 30 schools across SouthernCalifornia, and was designed to include a multi-modal inter-disciplinary curriculum. With detaileddescription of the pedagogical approach, assessment methods, and learning outcomes, this paper aims tosystematically review the successful implementation of the NSTI program at CPP and the lessons learned.In general, the program was very well received by all parties: high school students, parents
