Abstract: Today’s Engineering students will be facing many challenges. Some challenges are at the college level, and some will be after graduation. Students learning do not stop at graduation. Preparing for the EIT and PE certifications is a high priority. The generations’ challenge will be noticeable. Today’s generations differ from those before. However, if not handled probably, this could lead to problems. Certain important topics need to be addressed, such as “Ethics in Engineering”. Engineering is a very high liability field and needs to be handled as such. Dedication, integrity, and loyalty are important ingredients of engineers to shine and succeed. Covid leads people to work from home. This has and continues to present some challenges to the workforce and employers. Work ethics and loyalty will always be an important and essential ingredient for societies. Becoming an “Engineer” is not an easy task and comes with certain challenges. Communication skills are essential to get the message and work efforts across. Engineers need to claim credit they earn, and such credit should not be stolen by others. Working out of comfort zone, could leads to success. However, it needs to be carefully approached. Your words and actions define you as professional. Such actions will earn you a reputation that you need to protect and maintain in good status. AI vs human will be great challenge for future engineers and generations. The technology of the future is a two-sided sword. Do not compare yourself to others. Have self-confidence or work on it. Do your best, that is all what is expected. Completing your college degree is essential. We live in a world that lacks leadership at all levels. Each one of us can be that needed leader.
