AB  -                                       Framing Cube                                           AuthorThis paper outlines the attempt to provide some level of performance based wood framing test toan existing construction methods class. The focus of the course module was for students to havea peer learning experience in which they were provided all the written documentation and buildmaterial to be successful in executing the build process. The Framing Cube drawings themselvesare schematic but provide enough detail and notes for the students to complete the project. Thekey to this assignment was that students were not provided any additional direction and left ontheir own to plan and execute the model. Lab time was provided for them to have access tomaterial, equipment, and space. The deliverables were a wooden model as well as a 3Drendering.The outcomes of the process are focused on communication, use of 3D modeling, andunderstanding of design documents.
