The Senior Thesis Proposal course guided students through the planning stagesof the capstone design project, including topic selection and project plan creation. either costly or required special licensing. The Microsoft Zune, however, avoids thoseproblems. The Zune is relatively inexpensive and is supported by an excellent SDK and IDE, both ofwhich are free. In this paper, we describe our experience teaching mobile gaming with the Zune. Weexplain how the Zune platform is used, we outline the projects we use, the topics covered in lecture, andwe give examples of game developed by students. In addition, we provide student assessment of thecourse. We describe how the course supports our ABET course and program outcomes.1. Senior Capstone projects available to all Computer Science majors.In partial fulfillment of the requirements of CSF 4302, all Fellows will present their thesis duringthe annual ECS Scholar’s Day, even if their work is not yet complete.The Fellow’s Research Advisor will direct the thesis. In addition, Fellows must invite a secondprofessor in that field as well as a third professor outside of that field to serve as readers. In thespring of the junior year, Scholars register for CSF 4v01 to be taken in the fall of the senior year.A detailed outline, the first chapter of the thesis, and a bibliography must be submitted to theresearch advisor and the CSF Director at the end of that semester. Pferdehirt, et al8, usedCamtasia in developing weekly 15-30 minute recordings provided on-line as part of the coursematerial for a graduate-level Project Management course in a Master of Engineering inProfessional Practice (MEPP) program. Pagliari, et al9, used Camtasia in an on-line TechnicalPresentations class. The authors state that lectures were created in Camtasia to teach students touse another software product, Microsoft Producer. The students then created their own trainingpresentations using Microsoft Producer. Shearman, et al10, describe a large set of modulesconsisting of screencast videos produced in Camtasia for a music synthesis and
