, environmental, and mechanical engineering students have doneindependent learning of the LEED rating system since this time as CENG 4097 Civil EngineeringResearch (3 semester credits per student). It brings something unique to the engineering programsand encourages students to consider engineering licensure and credentialing (i.e. LEED AccreditedProfessional) in their engineering careers. Students learn the LEED system and submit weeklyreports, a final summary report including a case study LEED project, and produce a presentationbased on lessons learned and the final case study.
