In the past decade, makerspaces have emerged as a criticalspace for informal learning on college campuses, fostering creativity and curiosity inundergraduate students through hands-on projects and activities. The Learning Factory at ThePennsylvania State University has been an active makerspace for students and the communitysince 1995.
