Yue 18 analysed the spatial abilities across a number of educational levels includingthird level students of engineering and technology subjects at Essex Count College, NJ. Itwas found that first and second semester college freshman students recorded mean PSVTscores of 65% and 69%. College sophomores (2nd year students) were also analysed andrecorded a mean score of 79%. It should be noted that all these mean scores were recorded indifferent subject modules relating to engineering and technology. AC 2012-4474: A PRE-ENGINEERING SUMMER PROGRAM WITH EM-PHASIS ON INCLUSION, DIVERSITY, AND INSPIRATIONDr. Lelli Van Den Einde, University of California, San Diego Lelli Van Den Einde is a tenure-track lecturer at UC, San Diego, and focuses mostly on undergraduate education in mechanics and design courses. Her past research was in the seismic design of bridge sys- tems, but she is currently focused on assessing and improving engineering education pedagogy through technology. She has been the Faculty Advisor for UC, San Diego’s Society of Civil and Structural En- gineers (SCSE), a student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers, for the past two years. All of the capstone design faculty who respondedlisted their respective departments as engineering-related. Figure 1 graphically displays the typeof positions held by the respondents. The entrepreneurship faculty members who responded tothe survey indicated that they had the following roles: Full Professor (17%, N = 6), AssociateProfessor (17%, N = 6), Assistant Professor (19%, N = 7), and Instructor or Lecturer (28%, N =10). Research Associate was the most frequent response to the option Other (11%, N = 4). Therewas a greater percentage of design faculty who reported being Full Professor
