Spatial Skills in Construction Spatial ability is a unique type of intelligence which can be best defined as “the ability to presentthe spatial world internally in your mind”.9 In other words, spatial ability is the capacity tomentally organize, understand, and visualize spatial relations among objects. Linn andPeterson10 describe that spatial ability consists of mental rotation, spatial perception, and spatialvisualization. This ability is known as a critical skill in many fields of study, including science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education.11 Spatial ability becomesincreasingly important with the advance of new computer graphics technology
