there was not a true laboratory component in the course.The concerns identified by the students were often a reflection of their experiences during theirco-operative education rotations. Every student at Kettering University rotates between anacademic term and a co-operative education term, where students will work as engineeringinterns. The students do this rotation twice a year from the moment they enter the university.Because of this constant exposure to industry, students learn many of the ‘soft’ engineering skillsthat are difficult to teach in a classroom environment.
