The researchers were alsoconcerned with the way in which concept mapping has been used to evaluate interdisciplinaryknowledge integration and the manner in which instruction can play into that integration15. Ourmethod draws heavily from Shallcross’s16 methodology that targets semi-structured mappingactivities by single students in a short time frame. This affords an efficient deployment of conceptmapping within a course setting without being disruptive.
