measure the cognitive performance in architecture students. The datawas collected during the Fall 2022 semester with students from architecture coursesConstructions-1 (n=16 students) and Constructions-2 (n=14, n=17, n=17, n=17 students) toa total sample size of n=81 students. All students provided responses. The survey containedboth closed- and open-ended questions. The survey aimed for students to self-report theirperception regarding the benefits of delivering a mind-map before an examination, and theperception if the mind-map had an impact on the examination. The unit of analysis for thecase study [22] consisted of the days leading up to the examination when students workedon the mind-map and to the moment when the examination itself ended

Nevertheless, a 2021 report by the Expert Group on Future Skills Need [13]emphasized that 16% of organizational respondents report a specific difficulty in hiring BIMoperators/experts within Ireland. This claim was reinforced through a recent vacancy report bythe report National Skills Bulletin 2022 [14] and another by Solas that found 26% oforganizations reporting difficulty sourcing BIM professionals [15].The need for BIM education in IrelandBy increasing BIM use in Ireland, the construction industry can benefit, but further educationand training, standardization, and a willingness to adopt new technologies will be needed to fullyrealize the benefits. future.MethodologyFor this investigation, the authors developed a survey which was distributed in the fall of 2022 tothe U.S. population of faculty in ABET-[4] and ACCE-[5] accredited programs related toconstruction. Specifically, from the ABET accreditation agency, 92 programs were selected thatsatisfied the following criteria: • Civil Engineering Technology (n=20) • Construction Engineering (n=23) • Construction Engineering Technology (n=24) • Construction Management (n=25)From the ACCE accreditation board all 75 baccalaureate degree programs were selected from thelist available on the ACCE website. Because of some overlap in accreditation board and criteriaassessed, the final number of unique programs was 132. Using online searches

past few years, it was decided to separate students from Architecture Program and from theCivil Engineering program in different groups, but in our opinion this is not the best solution. In this paper we present a model that has worked well in terms prior to pandemic as well as inthe terms that had to be taught online due to lock-down that our country experienced duringthe pandemic years 2020 and 2021 and also for some terms of the return to campus in 2022.The model was adapted and it is now used as a hybrid model that include the best practicesand what students recommend as part of their courses. It is important to mention that in our university, Tecnologico de Monterrey, we have beenworking in a student-centered teaching model. The model is

In fact, ChatGPT is the fastest-adopted tool in the Internet agebased on the time it took for selected online services to reach 100 million users, surpassing TikTok,Instagram, Facebook, and Netflix to name a few [5]. To further put this into perspective, ChatGPTreached over one million users in five days and over 100 million users within 2 months, compared toSpotify which took 11 years to reach 100 million users [4, 5].The combination of increased media attention and the capability of this powerful resource presents achallenge within academia. Instructors are placed in a position where they need to address whetherstudents should be allowed to utilize artificial intelligence to assist in completing
