, sustainability courses were notintegrated into prescribed undergraduate or graduate engineering curricula, and in some cases this mayhave been due to a lack of resources. Rather, students independently sought ‘special topics’ to supporttheir interest in sustainability. This lack of emphasis on sustainability contrasts the descriptions ofin-person exposure to sustainable technology which ultimately steered those individuals towardsustainable engineering careers. project wasbroken into four larger parts, the overall project was scaffolded such that there were multipledeliverables for each part as shown in Figure 1. This resulted in nearly continuous engagementwith the project throughout the semester.Throughout the project, not only were the normal course outcomes assessed, but the project alsocontained EM mindset and skillset outcomes that were assessed at various points throughout thesemester. With these mindset and skillset outcomes combined, students were able to see the linkbetween an initial curiosity question and how it can relate to creating value for their organizationsand communities in successful and rewarding engineering careers. Creating case studies follows the 9-step problem design process as outlined by Hung[12]. Table III presents a framework for creating and scaling case studies for use in engineeringeducation. . Judging by the significant success of manyinterventions, we would like to point to some that should be considered as a permanent changefor future Statics courses in general. For example, reflective practices such as the ones seen inGoldberg et al. (2015) and Goldberg et al. (2021) can provide healthy lifestyle changes tostudents that benefit them well in their student careers. The significance of the results mentionedis easy to assume and is only further established within the paper. We believe that implementingthese interventions more regularly can provide easier communication between students andteachers and future testing can better show this in other courses as well.Group work has shown mixed results and even the significant ones are not
