inclusivecampus climates, there is still underrepresentation of Blacks/African Americans,Latinx/Hispanics, and Native Americans (including Native Hawaiians and Alaska Natives)within the STEM professoriate nationwide. For students who are members of these groups, theculturally isolating experience this deficit creates can weaken one’s academic self-perception,and hinder performance in STEM disciplines. This paper explores the relationship betweenintentionality towards diversity and inclusion in faculty job postings and corresponding facultydemographics at a variety of US postsecondary institutions. The research questions we areinvestigating are: • In what ways are diversity and inclusion implicitly and explicitly addressed in the

engineering majors of interest to the larger project (namely, biomedical, chemical, mechanical, and electrical and computer engineering). Potential participants weregiven a link to an online survey, asking them to help the university prepare the next generation ofengineering students [27].Survey InstrumentThe survey instrument was divided into three sections: (1) characterizing the participants' post-baccalaureate pathways; (2) describing their experiences with and beliefs about engineering; and(3) collecting personal information about participants, including their demographics. First, tocharacterize career pathways, we asked participants to identify the number of career positionsthat they have experienced, including educational opportunities and

Our course is focused on the positive social impact of engineering, which makes engineering more accessible to underrepresented students, as the potential to make a positive societal impact is especially important to underrepresented students in career selection [15-16].HuskyADAPT: Accessible Design and Play TechnologyHuskyADAPT was co-founded in 2016 by University of Washington (UW) faculty and studentsfrom Bioengineering, Computer Science, Human Centered Design and Engineering, MechanicalEngineering, and Rehabilitation Medicine [1]. HuskyADAPT has grown to include a studentorganization with over 100 active members. Our initial work was focused
