Thegreatest challenge came from finding a suitable company that could provide a particulardisplacement sensor, known as a Linear Variable Displacement Transducer (LVDT). Followingthis, there were subsequent delays in delivery time for the LVDT and other materials whichaffected the manufacturing timeline. The biggest change made to the design from the initialdesign document was the addition of more holes and screws on the crosshead bars to improve thepull-out

Common Core StateStandards [7]. Each lesson contained multiple parts of varying difficulty in an effort to guidestudents through key concepts.User feedback indicated that the multiple-part approach appeared siloed and students could beeither overwhelmed or bored with an initial step, resulting in potentially losing learners fromconcept threads altogether. In an effort to address this concern, we re-organized the content intoa curriculum with subthemes of “A Day in the Life,” “Form and Function,” “Balance,”“Movement,” and “The Literate Engineer.” The content is largely unchanged from the originallesson plans, but the ten lessons with subparts were subdivided into 32 mini-lessons. vessels and foreign vessels from 2016 to 2018. Prior to his assignment at Sector Los Angeles – Long Beach, LCDR Brahan served as a Staff Naval Architect at the Marine Safety Center from 2013-2016. In this assignment, he reviewed general arrange- ments, structures, stability, and structural fire protection plans and calculations for floating production platforms, offshore supply vessels, and barges. As a collateral duty, he served as a duty officer on the Salvage Engineering Response Team (SERT) working on over 50 salvage cases and deploying on three separate cases. He served as a Student Engineer onboard USCGC TAMPA (WMEC 902) from 2008-2011, and is a 2008 graduate of Officer Candidate School.Dr. Thomas W

During class, astakeholder meeting was simulated, beginning with opening statements and site proposals fromeach team, followed by a round of negotiations and rebuttals, with the ultimate goal of agreeingon a location for development. Following the in-class exercise, students completed individualreflections to self-assess growth in their knowledge and skill development from participating inthe simulated meeting. Kump joined SUNY Maritime College in 2012 and is Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering. His research interests are in the areas of machine learning (ML), signal processing, and alternative teaching strategies. Dr. Kump has developed intelligent software-defined radio for the US Navy in electronic warfare, nuclear material detection algorithms for the US government at US seaports, and crime prediction software for the Chicago Police Department. He recently collaborated with Mount Sinai Hospital to create smart software for automatic error detection in patient radiation therapy treatment plans. In

The first one was adecrease in the average study duration (at that time almost five years for the three-yearbachelor programme).
