It is crucial to achieving uniform flow because this condition occurs most oftenin realistic aerodynamic applications. After the test section, the air exits into the diffuser andthrough the fan to the right. As a Senior Capstone project for the mechanical engineering program in 2021, a team offive undergraduate students worked with a faculty advisor to utilize the wind tunnel. Theydeveloped a data acquisition system to experimentally determine the aerodynamic properties ofthe lift and drag force of objects in external flow [1], [2].
