energized while teaching. Not every day ended on a positive note. For example, the day Irealized I had a calculation error in my shear design example was not a highlight I wish to revisitoften. I left class feeling somewhat defeated, but I had to find a reason to come back to class thenext day. I remembered my responsibility to the group of students I was teaching. I alsoremembered why I was placed in that teaching position. I wanted to gain experience for a futureposition as a faculty member. Through this experience, I discovered motivation beyond simpleobligation.
