Fall 2017 Mid-Atlantic ASEE Conference, October 6-7 – Penn State Berksfeedback to avoid predisposing the participants towards a specific lifting technique or posture.During these lifting tasks, posture and joint location data was captured. Additionally, theparticipants were asked to subjectively estimate the perceived weight of the boxes before andafter performing the lifting tasks.A total of 17 students from the Pennsylvania State University, enrolled in engineering programs(i.e., Industrial Eng.: 8, Electrical Eng.: 4, and Mechanical Eng.: 2) and non-engineeringprograms (i.e., Statistics: 1, Communications: 1, and Human Development: 1) participated in theexperiment.
