The curriculumdeveloper integrated proven teaching strategies to ensure the camp instructor allowed students to reflect,assess understanding of concepts at checkpoints, and obtain feedback. Formative and summativeassessments were used throughout the program to assess student knowledge and comprehension. Examplesof formative assessments incorporated in each lesson included low-stakes quizzes, student polls, and exittickets.
