Another study performed a literature review of research studies that modeled an environmentally-conscious supply chain design to support food security [8]. A study applied a system-of-system approach to provide a formal policy deployment framework to address global challenges, such as the food crisis [9]. Another author provided a literature review of logistics best practices for regional food systems, where food access is provided on a geographical close regional level.
