Engineering graduate degrees are becoming increasinglyimportant for professional and career development, and so understanding how individuals acclimate tograduate school environments is a critical first step in improving the overall process and ensuringcompetent graduates who are ready to effectively engage in professional practice.Thus, this paper describes a framework for the development, and implementation of a pilot summerbridge for students from underrepresented populations as they transition into a graduate program.
