Joseph A. Lyon is an Assistant Teaching Professor at the University of Notre Dame. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Education. His research interests are computational thinking and mathematical modeling.
This GIFTS paper outlines the development of a two-pathway engineering computing program at a private midwestern university. Given modern first-year students' varied experiences and backgrounds, the study aims to address how to support students of all experience levels best.
