critical step in understanding the results and basis of genderinequities that may otherwise be lost in datasets [2]. This is particularly true for students withnonbinary or transgender identities who are often understudied or overlooked entirely [3], [4]. In thispaper, we present an analysis of gender reporting practices in papers published in the proceedings ofthe American Society for Engineering Education Gulf-Southwest (ASEE GSW) conference to assessour community’s progress toward transparent reporting. MethodsWe downloaded papers from the ASEE PEER website (https://peer.asee.org) from the 2019, 2020,and 2021 ASEE Gulf-Southwest Annual Conference collections. All papers in each yearlycollection were

. Themajor difference between GD and the other engineering tools, such as Finite Element Analysis(FEA), is that GD optimizes the shape of the design solution based on the manufacturing processselected by the design engineer. So, the design and shape solution recommended by GD for five-axismachining will be different from a solution developed for the casting process. In order to use thepower of GD to the full extent, one specific area that requires more investigation is additivemanufacturing.Additive manufacturing (AM) is a manufacturing technology that produces parts and assemblies Proceedings of the 2022 ASEE Gulf-Southwest Annual Conference Prairie View A&M University, Prairie View, TX

traditional college classrooms and learningmanagement systems are teacher-centered pedagogy in which the instructor provides the content6. Proceedings of the 2022 ASEE Gulf-Southwest Annual Conference Prairie View A&M University, Prairie View, TX Copyright © 2022, American Society for Engineering Education 2Direct learning is teacher centered, interaction between students is lacking, and there are nocooperative groups. Lack of activity makes students face difficulties in understanding the learningmaterial. Therefore, it should take a learning model that stimulates students' responses andactiveness7. Theobjectives of creating the molds are to: 1) increase the production of APAP tablets for additionalanalysis, 2) reduce the amount of raw material required to form the tablets, and 3) create APAP tabletsthat are consistent in terms of physical and chemical characteristics. for over half of Texas’ power, this halt in energy productioncaused a drastic drop in power distribution throughout the state. So what’s going on? This is not thefirst time that the Texas power plants have failed due to cold weather conditions. In 2011, rollingblackouts swept through Texas due to extreme cold temperatures that caused power plants to fail. After this incident, ERCOT encouraged weatherization to equip power plant facilities to withstandcold temperatures. Regardless, in 2014, Texas was on the brink of an energy emergency due to a Proceedings of the 2022 ASEE Gulf-Southwest Annual Conference Prairie View A&M University, Prairie View, TX Copyright

communication skills to the test. The competition, created in the Fallof 2019, had as a primary goal to get students involved in extra-curricular activities and have themconnect professionally and socially with their peers across the campus. As a primary goal of thecompetition, students are challenged to work in a team environment to design, build anddemonstrate a remote-controlled water vehicle. Their vehicle must use bi-directionalcommunications over WiFi for control of the platform. Each team is limited to commontechnologies and a $100 budget to ensure that all teams compete on a level playing field. For thefirst offering of eSMART in Spring 2020, ninety-four students across multiple academic programsregistered and competed. This paper describes the
