This research references online learning in an internet and web design course. In it,McSporran and Young state that the number of women in technology classes is lower than otherclasses. Survey results also found that women preferred online courses to traditional classroomsettings. The experience suggests that anin-lab support person is important and the ability for that individual to communicate with theremote student groups via an audio-visual interface can enhance the student experience.
