Sponsorship Brochure (CSB): a chapter fund development template that is consistent with the CMT and NRP Reports for chapters to use to secure funds. Table 6 shows the NRP report requirements for NRP v.3. Unlike its predecessors, the NRPv.3 requirements are minimal recording the most valuable information to ensure full use of thechapters’ ecosystem with SHPE national support as an equal partner. Reducing the NRP v.2requirements to two pages, the chapters provide their accomplishments and supporting quantifiableevidence. Support needed and lessons learned encouraged chapter leaders to reflect on theirperformance based on the results of the previous two pages in the report. increases low.For instance, in 2009, an in-state, full-time student would have paid $7,226 in tuition and in theacademic year 2016-17, a full-time student has paid $8,547 in tuition. These modest tuition ratesreflect approximately a 3% increase each year since 2009. Although, a relatively smaller increasein percentage, it has outpaced Indiana’s annual per capita income and the financial impact oftuition increases is clearly reflected in the growing number of enrollments of students whoqualify for financial assistance. Therefore, detection of the algae and cyanobacteria by aerial imaging can be donebased on fluorescent reflection from surface water. method approach to understand and assess student’s knowledge, level ofunderstanding, and perception of the 4+1 programs through the administration of a survey to 486undergraduate students at the College of Engineering and Computing in a minority-servinginstitution, Florida International University. Previous studies on Black women inengineering industry, although few, have often focused on women with more extensiveexperiences (ten years or more).We also note that the smallness of the sample is an indicator of earlier barriers to entry intoengineering and graduation rates that must be addressed if more Black women are to enter theworkforce. Out of over 3,500 survey participants, only ten were Black women (less than 0.3% ofthe sample). from the undergraduate demographics inengineering. There were 18 Asian students, 4 Hispanic students, 8 White students and 5 Otherswho responded. Interestingly, there was a high number of first-generation engineering studentswho responded. 34% engineering students (12 students) indicated that they were first-generationstudents.A small number of the engineering students scheduled to graduate in four years changed theirmajor (4 students). This is not surprising considering that students often extend their time tograduation when they switch majors. Of the four students switching their majors, only twoswitched out of the College of Engineering.The first questions asked the students to reflect on their freshmen experiences in blockedscheduling. 51
