mPSS project with other European universities, andat the moment of writing this work, our group has completed and tested two very different mPSScourses: ≠ “Introduction to ITIL® concepts and terminology”. The objective of the course is to be a tool for reviewing the main concepts and terminology of the third version of ITIL6 (Information Technology Infrastructure Library). It is based on the knowledge the students must have acquired after the normal process of learning in the ____’s postgraduate course of title “Curso de Experto Profesional en Gestión de Servicios TI basados en ITIL® e ISO 20000”, of 6 months of duration. This course has, as an optional objective, to prepare the students for an

placementRequested equipment within the proposed experiment: This laboratory experiment projectfocuses on the optimal placement of the nodes. The optimal power setting of the transmitter issuch that the Receiver Signal Strength (RSS) at the receiver is greater than the sensitivity at thereceiver while the bit error rate (BER) is able to remain in a given range during the desiredlifetime of the network. This research laboratory project also deals with the optimal basestation(s) placement (with its unlimited power supply) situated centrally in such a way as toreduce the power consumed by nodes during communication of sensors data. Results: The software package for the optimal placement of the nodes that can be delivered withthe Received Signal Strength

classified into subcategoriesidentified as “strengths,” “areas for improvement,” and “suggestions for improvement”. Thisframework allowed us to organize the 420 disparate comments into categories that could then beused to provide specific and actionable feedback to faculty with the goal of improving the qualityof teaching and student learning. Similar comments were combined and paraphrased to capturethe gist of the comment(s). Comments and groupings are presented below.Structured Organization Strengths  Synchronous lectures, also recorded and posted - easier to keep up with material.  Office hours  Organized Canvas (weekly plan as well as assignments and materials posted)  Class notes posted  Asynchronous (pre-recorded lecture

In Scrum, these would be called "sprint retrospective" and “sprint planning” stages, respectively. 7. Journal: This is used to keep track of dates of meetings and decisions made. It helps the team and instructor(s) track their activity. There should be at least one in-person team meeting outside of the classroom (lecture or lab time). It can be done using online tools, e.g., Hangouts, Skype or similar.Depending on the details of a project, more columns can be added. However, having too manycolumns can make information more obscure so this should be used with care.2.4. Trello CardsOnce

taught by a peer. In thecourses, students are required to use ADS to finish a practical design of a microwave device for acourse project. The main purpose is to show students how to verify their paper designs throughsimulation and to introduce students to practical matters they may see in industry. This includesexploring the impact of microstrip bend and tee artifacts in order to make a practical deviceconform to specific ports on a fixture. Students can adjust their designs to re tune their deviceswhen these practical matters are added. Students also use ADS to explore concepts such asvariability in device dimensions or reverse engineering an existing layout given mask dimensionsand measured S parameters. The ADS projects are easily implemented

They were excited to have access to real hardwareto synthesize their controllers through MATLAB/Simulink programs, validate the controller on aSimulink model, run the dSPACE DS 1104 DSP-board experiment, download data, and analyzethe control system performance offline without being distracted by software implementationissues. This environment allowed for extensive experimentation, performance comparison, anddevelopment of several practical control algorithms. It is expected that the techniques employedin the controller designed for the laboratory experiment will likely be used by the students intheir subsequent employment after completion of their college education.References1. from 1993-2005 hasbeen maintained and will be useful in assessing future improvements due to the virtualworkstation. The issue of requiring the students to use the virtual workstation in our laboratory has beenaddressed. The SimMechanics model can be compiled into stand-alone code that can be used onany computer that has MATLAB and Simulink. For our system, the Real-Time Workshop wasused to convert the SimMechanics subsystem model into a S-Function block 18. The S-Functionis a computer language description of the subsystem (m-file, C-language, etc.) The S-Functionblock for the mechanical system can be used without the SimMechanics package. An additionalbenefit of the stand-alone code is a significantly decreased simulation time of the overall

create sensor values in the range of 0-30cm. This range is based on pre-planning for physical implementation. The simulation produces two ofthese inputs, one for the left side and one for the right side of the simulated system. Both values arepropagated straight into the FL controller. The Fuzzy Logic controller contains two input membershipfunctions (MF). The functions are identical, but one processes the left sensor inputs and the otherprocesses the right sensor inputs. Five linguistic variables were used as: {VS, S, M, W, VW } denotingVery Strong , Strong , Medium, Weak, and Very Weak. An input falling within the VS membershipcategory indicates and object is very close, and conversely an input within the VW membership categorymeans an object

applications whilereinforcing student retention and comprehension. For example, a student might first learn aboutdata converters as a freshman, and interface A/D and D/A converter ICs with a simple digitalcircuit in an introductory digital systems class. As a sophomore, (s)he might use operationalamplifiers and comparators to construct some basic A/D and D/A circuit topologies (e.g. flashand single-slope converters) in a laboratory course. Later, as a junior (s)he might build a current-summing D/A converter using MOS and bipolar transistors. In each case, the CubeSat programwould provide a pedagogical framework as the student learns about data converters in a “topdown” manner, with relevant documentation serving to reinforce the presentation in

transition to amore stable, efficient, and reliable solution to hardware access. Accordingly, a remote labbecame an appealing approach.Remote laboratories evolved since the early 90’s and they have continued to gain attention ineducation research since that time [4]. There have been numerous definitions of remote labenvironments in the literature where the terms “remote lab” and “virtual lab” are often usedsynonymously [5, 6]. However, it is important to establish a clear distinction between the twoterms. Virtual laboratories are simulated, non-physical environments that model a real-life labwith a computer-based application. Conversely, remote laboratories give the user the ability toaccess and control physical equipment from distant locations
