It has been used in thecharacterization of MEMS Resonator Gas Sensors under different temperature and gascompositions. The steam generatorpreserved the heat transfer and boiling effects and the condensation with and without non-condensablegases [2]. Outside of these, the design of the IST included features to support its adaptation for otherdesign or research missions. While testing in support of the mPower SMR ended in 2014, the facility has been maintained tosupport other projects. This has resulted inseverely decreased student satisfaction with the labs.
