fewtraditional computer labs on campus. Instead, all students enrolled in the university are issued alaptop as part of a technology package which includes the laptop and all relevant softwareneeded for the program the student is enrolled in.The software engineering program offers students several unique learning opportunities. Onepart of the program is a 12 credit Software Development Laboratory experience where studentswork on large-scale, industry-sponsored projects. Most core software engineering courses areoffered in the 3+2 format, meaning the course meets in lecture three times for one hour and has a2 hour associated lab period. Elective courses tend to be offered in the 2+2 format, with 2 hoursof lecture instead of 3 and a 2 hour lab.About the

This is a key skill needed for energy auditors [3] in commercial andindustrial buildings. Research on the engineering students has suggested they were more stronglyactive, sensing, visual, and sequential learners [4-6], indicating that opportunities to supportteaching that aligns with students’ learning styles are likely to lead to improved outcomes [7].Immersive technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR) have the potential to support thisrequirement as their availability and complexity of features have increased and their costs havedecreased [8]. However, the methods of use and effectiveness of immersive technology forstudent

These are factors that softwareengineers need to take into account while they consider the architecture of the proposed softwaresystem. These factors also make teaching software architecture a difficult endeavor. There are several documented difficulties in teaching software architecture. Experience is thebest way to understand the various nuances involved in real world implementations of softwarearchitecture, due to its abstract nature. Software architecture is also complex: the aspects ofpeople, process and technology that permeate software engineering are important considerationsin software architecture as well.
