As statis-tician George Box famously quipped, “Essentially, all models are wrong, but some are useful.”?This is an unsettling concept for undergraduates, who are most often encouraged to seek a sin-gle ‘right’ answer (i.e. the one found in the back of textbooks). She has published her research in numerous journals including IIE Transactions, OR Letters, INFORMS Journal on Computing, INFORMS Transactions on Education, International Journal of Production Research, European Journal of Operational Research, and Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing Computers. She is a member of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) and the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE).
