-Lincoln has embarked on a department-wide transformation of advising and retentionpractices to support undergraduate student success. Another benefit for Veterans using GI Bill benefits to obtain flight training at aninstitution of higher learning (IHL) is that all the flight training will be covered. Veteransobtaining flight training at a flight school not connected to an IHL must obtain their Private Pilotcertificate at their own expense. [7] The only expense that the GI Bill will not cover is any feerelated to credentialing. Due to this, Veterans using the GI Bill for the APSU program will haveto pay the examiner’s fee for both the written knowledge test and the practical test (check ride) ateach stage of training. The program’s structure allows for a snapshot of student engagementduring their first-year as a program participant, while also providing an opportunity forlongitudinal analysis as students progress through their academic careers. introduceengineering students to the fundamental concepts of design and data science. This work offersa pedagogical resource that shows best practices for integrating the technical and socialdualism in engineering education. We contend that without this sociotechnical integration inengineering courses, engineering education will leave students to reinforce existing racial andenvironmental injustices rather than providing a critical understanding of the social, political, andeconomic context in which they will be engineers. While, no course is ever perfect and it isdifficult to include all the important concepts relevant to a course without overwhelming thestudents, we hope that asking for whom, with whom, and as whom provide an initiation forstudents to
