analysis of asecond packet capture (pcap) file. The pcap files are used from a previous and publicly availableNetwork Forensics contest [5]. Utilizing a pcap file, the students learn to extract a transmitted fileand locate information in a TCP connection stream. Next, students replay a TCP file from an oldhoneynet scan of the monthly contest and learn how to review and analyze alerts in Snorby andsquil [6]. Once students are familiar with these tools, they are given another task named “AnnSkips Bail” [7]. The purpose of this lab is to find some specific data in the pcap files. Onechallenge to using publicly available contests, is the easy availability of answers; especially forolder contests. In addition to answering the specific question(s

topics such as fundamentals where some studentshad been exposed to the concepts in high school as well as in the chemistry and physics coursesthey were taking alongside the Introduction to Engineering class. Similarly, when it came tolearning to use Microsoft Excel, some student s were experts while others had never seen itbefore. Lecturing on how to use excel had the additional problem of one student halting theentire class of fifty since we were teaching sequential steps. In our flipped classroom model, thedevised process for each assignment was students watch video lectures, complete an electronic“Concept Quiz”, complete the necessary calculations or questions on a provided worksheet, andfinally complete the assignment by submitting the

During this project, we have alsoshown how to add applications in the Linux kernels. The Ethernet connection application andsome other I/O and interrupt programming has been implemented. The scope of this project isvery vast and we have set the platform now for teaching this new approach for learningembedded systems concepts.Bibliography1. “Using an FPGA Processor Core and Embedded Linux for Senior Design Projects”- Tyson S. A customized website that provides introduction to any topics in the C++ environment with many examples to support the chosen topic. b. An online tool that will allow students to debug, run, and study the behavior of their codes. This tool will accomplish the goal by accessing a C++ compiler on a remote server or Chromebook. Individual activities such as coloring or origami promote mindfulness.Having one or more graduate or undergraduate student assistant(s) that work with a faculty orstaff organizer for the wellness programming is beneficial to not only assist with overseeingprogramming content, but they also serve as a friendly face to welcome and encourage otherstudents to engage in the activities. When faculty and staff engage in the activities itdemonstrates to the students the value of making time for wellness, which helps to integrate itinto the organizational culture.Offering food, especially pre-packaged snacks, is a great way

Since each course utilizes the M2K in different ways, it would have been interesting togroup the responses by course(s) taken; however, the sample size was already small so allresponses were considered as a single group regardless of course(s) taken. Figure 1. Circuits courses completed by survey respondents.Table 1 shows the types of activities for which students reported using the M2K. From this data,it is clear that the M2K is a valuable tool for completing in-class lab activities outside of classdue to inadequate time (100%) or absence (55%). Not all courses require post-lab exercises, soonly some of

is not necessary to have all instructors assignedto a class, it is required to staff all classes. There are a few constraints attached to the staffing assignment studied in this paper: 1) One class per month: Classes are offered monthly, and each instructor can only teach one class per month. 2) Online and onsite modality: The instruction mode is either online (OL), or onsite (S). It is assumed that onsite instructors can teach online as well. However, online instructors must only be staffed in classes with online modality only. 3) Availability: Instructors must be available to teach in the months they are staffed to teach a class. So, the instructors must only be staffed to teach in the months they are
