Pimentel and Teixeira [1], defined virtual reality as an immersive, interactive experiencegenerated by a computer. The more recent definition of VR is described by Dionisio and Gilbertas “computer-generated simulations of three-dimensional objects or environments with seeminglyreal, direct, or physical user interaction” [2]. From the definitions, it can be derived that VR hasan experimental nature with the main elements of the virtual world, immersion, interactivity andmulti-sensory feedback. using the ethnographic methods of participantobservation and semi-structured interviews. Field notes, pictures, and audio recordings werecollected from classroom observations. This multimedia data collection helped to fill in mynotes, as I was often asked by teachers and students to help work through some of the pedagogicand technical aspects of implementing Mindstorms. After observing implementation in theclassroom, 30min-70min semi-structured interviews were conducted with each teacher.
