Based on summary dataderived from state Department of Education (DOE) records, students in the exam schoolsoutperform students in the theme schools on state proficiency tests, have a higher percentage ofstudents with plans to attend a 4-year college, and have much lower dropout rates, as would beexpected given the schools’ rigorous entrance requirements.
