In a 2012 report, the President’s Council of Advisors on Scienceand Technology suggested that the United States needed to produce one million additionalcollege graduates in STEM fields by 2022 in order to keep up with the expected growth inSTEM positions [1]. Hands-on projects provide opportunities for participants to engage in emerging technologies, and understand and use emerging ML tools.
