Mentoring relationships provide students with apositive environment that can lead to networking opportunities and career opportunities after graduation,but only recently has research been conducted to fully understand the best practices of mentoringrelationships.Based on previous studies conducted, 82.4% reported positive outcomes for mentees.6 Students whohad a mentoring relationship usually had higher retention rates and

These views will be incorporatedwithin capstone design courses that have currently adopted the approach outlined in Simoni et al.This will provide an opportunity to gauge their effectiveness at improving design
