A little more than one-half of these programs do not have their Computer Sci-ence program accredited, although most if not all of these institutions have engineering programsaccredited through ABET. Hence, one could conclude that some institutions deliberately elect notto seek ABET accreditation for their computer science programs because they do not feel there issufficient value in it for themselves.Several of the institutions on the list have a sufficiently high-profile that they may feel that ac-creditation provides no additional benefit to them.
