The training was for four days: Monday 01/07/2019to Thursday 01/10/2019 (two for turning and the other two for milling).Future Work and Conclusion:This is a work in progress paper and continuous process of development. Another author veryrecently went for the FANUC Vision training for an internally funded project both received(another accepted paper in ASEE 2020). -side comparison of the traditional and blended versions of the staticscourse with regard to standard course evaluation questions that are relevant to course format.Both courses were taught by the same instructor; the traditional format had enrollments of 56 and50 (in Spring 2018 and 2019, respectively) and the blended format had an enrollment of 21. Anyeffects of class size are difficult to determine, because the two traditional sections had similarenrollment. To date we have not had the opportunity to teach a traditional course with a smallenrollment, or a blended course with large enrollment. Pre-Camp and Pre-Sophomore data for Fall 2019 shows a similar trend but are not included in Figure 2 because Post-Sophomore data is not yet available for these students.Our initial results also show a dramaticincrease in the number of potential studypartners for campers vs. non-campers.As shown in Figure 3, from Pre-Camp toPre-Sophomore, campers reported anincrease in the average number ofchemical engineering classmates theyknow and could study with (from 4.44 to8.12, p<0.01). This increase resulted incampers knowing an average of 3.31more classmates at the start of thesophomore year than non-campers (8.12vs. 4.81) even

, which was structured to provide a unique period of time to prepare for the launch of theacademic year of 2019-20, when it officially opened its doors to its first graduating class of 113students.There are currently 15 faculty members with backgrounds across the disciplines, for a student-faculty ratio of roughly 7.5:1. In the next few years going forward, the university aims to recruitan additional 130 students each year, with plans to grow the faculty as well, while a permanentcampus is being built. It ultimately aspires to reach a steady state of roughly 3000 students intotal after 10 years.The students come from a variety of backgrounds.
