It is clear that student interest and skill can vary significantly based on prior experiences, but it is less clear whether student motivation specifically related to computational modelingvaries as well. This study hypothesizes that the self-efficacy and utility value related tocomputational methods varies significantly in students’ first year

While the ongoing pandemic, and a surge of positive cases of COVID from November2021 through January 2022, made it more challenging than anticipated to coordinate schedules,we worked diligently with the K-12 teachers and the Fairfield University’s Center for SocialImpact to finalize our plans and promptly began the implementation of the program in Spring2022.During early Spring, the project faculty members, held an Information Session for the Fellows. At that session their roles and responsibilities as mentors was discussed. enduring conception of the definite integral based on Riemann sums?Course DesignThe focus of this study is one section of Calculus 1 which I taught at a small, public university inthe eastern United States during the fall 2022 semester. This was a typical first-semester calculuscourse, teaching limits, the derivative, the definite integral, and applications, culminating withthe Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. The textbook for this course was Calculus Volume 1 byStrang and Herman10. Homework was assigned through MyOpenMath(https://www.myopenmath.com). Initial enrollment was 32.I decided to base my presentation of the limit and definite integral concepts on Oehrtman’s8research on the approximation metaphor and Sealey’s9 Riemann integral framework

STEM graduates. According to the Bureau of Labor andStatistics, STEM jobs will grow to nine (9) million by 2022. In terms of individual occupations, information security analysis has a projected growth of 37% until 2022 (the highest), whereasenvironmental science and protection has a projected growth rate of 19% (the lowest). However, both of these fields are very good prospects for STEM job seekers.Clearly, STEM disciplines cover a broad range of topics and employment opportunities arenumerous, yet many domestic students exit the STEM career pathway despite flexible careeroptions. A student engagement continuum, if designed correctly, would translate the relevanceand importance of STEM education through constant engagement across all

students is expected to increase twice as fast as that of traditionalstudents during the period 2012 to 2022 [3]. As a result, this kind of student will reach a numberwhere they will form a “new majority” in higher education, at least in certain programs [4].Therefore, it is becoming very important to focus our attention on studying this particular groupof students. The literature commonly associates non-traditional students with a higher risk of dropout incomparison with traditional students. Johnson [5] identified: age, qualifications, attendance, hoursof paid employment, and hours of academic study as the most influential variables causingnon-traditional students to dropout of college during the freshmen year. Technology emphasis in Cyber Security. c American Society for Engineering Education, 2016 Cybersecurity Camp - A Call for AwarenessAbstractThe demand for cybersecurity analysts and awareness is increasing, the employment ofinformation security analysts is projected to grow 37 percent from 2012 to 2022, much fasterthan the average for all occupations. Today, women represent just 10 percent of thecybersecurity workforce. Thus, to increase the amount of people going into cybersecurity, primarily women, we must start at the base: schools. There, we can emphasize the need for beingcyber savvy and also address the need to have balanced teams of men and women. In 2015, we hosted a Girls Cybersecurity Camp

shifting paradigms of theindustry to changing existing processes have led to an increased demand for chemical engineerswith pharmaceutical training [3]. Indeed, there has been an increase in the employment ofchemical engineers by pharmaceutical companies. From 2012 to 2022, the amount of chemicalengineers that will be employed by pharmaceutical engineers will increase by 4.1 percent, whiletraditional chemical manufacturing positions will fall by 9.8 percent [4].Due to this demand increase from the pharmaceutical industry, universities have developedmethods for including pharmaceutical engineering education into their existing programs.Pharmaceutical engineering can be defined as the design of manufacturing processes forpharmaceutical and
