ConclusionIn this paper, we have discussed how to clean and process raw data using stop word filtration,tokenization, and lemmatization. We explored the data to discover some of its propertiesand to illustrate various characteristics of an insufficient comment versus a sufficient commentclassification. disciplinespecific engineering laboratories. Data were collected in three streams. First, through identical pre-test and posttest surveysmeasuring attitudes and interest in STEM fields. This survey, which took approximately tenminutes to complete, was a slightly modified version of the Friday Institute’s S-STEM survey[16] which has been shown to be a valid instrument for understanding student attitudes fordifferent STEM disciplines. Second, focus group interviews related to attitudes and interests inengineering were conducted.
