andoutput audio signals are compared to demonstrate the functionalities of the filters as well as thebasic DSP theory such as A/D converter, D/A converter, digital filtering, and frequency analysis.Our design also makes use of DSP Builder and the IP (Intellectual Property) cores providedoriginally for Altera’s Stratix II and migrate them onto Cyclone II. This approach saves us fromwriting VHDL/Verilog codes for DSP functions from scratch and speeds up the designconsiderably.The designed experiments can be used either in an upper undergraduate level electronics orembedded systems course or in a stand-alone DSP course for both EE and CmpE.
