To get the depth of employability skills, students who hadparticipated in the co-op program were mixed with students who had done an unofficialinternship. Given the intensive work requiredto set up a PSI course, few faculty members from research universities (and from universitieswith high teaching loads) were willing (or able) to give PSI a try. After finishing his Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, he joined the industry as a materials re- searcher. He has more than 20 years of diversified industrial experience using his experience in materials, computer visualization, and manufacturing.
