This study examines potential associationsbetween gender and students' motivations for joining the construction program, the obstaclesthey encounter, their expectations, and their future career plans. Data from all first, second, andthird-year students in the Building Construction Science (BCS) program at Mississippi StateUniversity were collected using a quantitative survey. The survey covered different aspects ofstudents’ experiences and decisions.
