Overall, improvement in both studentengagement and learning outcomes has been observed for the online flipped Fluid Mechanicscourse. Finally, the paper discusses the advantages, implementation strategies, and limitations.IntroductionSince the late nineties, web-based remote teaching and learning, namely online courses, havebeen growing rapidly to meet the educational demands of those limited by location, time, andavailability. Based on studies performed prior to COVID-19 pandemic, students perceived onlinelearning to be more convenient [1], but less effective for learning compared to face-to

this to say2: “Accountability comes up a lot when talking about engineering organizations. Everyone wants to know how to hold engineers accountable. And, in my exploration of this topic with folks, I’ve found that the term accountability means something different to everyone. There are some folks who use accountability to mean an ability to explain. There’s a slightly larger set of people who use accountability when they really mean ownership. And then, there are many organizations that use accountability to mean a mechanism to blame and punish people Proceedings of the 2022 ASEE Gulf-Southwest Annual Conference Prairie View A&M University, Prairie View

They found firstthat students with below-average competence beliefs and task values and above-average perceivedcosts were the least likely to be retained in STEM.
