implementing different methods to increase student engagement in onlineclasses and innovative ways to educate engineering students. As Covid-19 took over the world inMarch 2020, schooling moved to the online world. As engineering courses are different, it requiresstudents to be in the lab and work with electronic components, micro-controllers, and otherequipment. It has been difficult for students and professors to be focused and have a betteroutcome. During the 2020 fall session, we have implemented methodologies that have vastlyimprovised the outcome of students’ and teachers’ work. The methods implemented have shownthat 1. Students were more engaged in class; 2. The output of the course results were positive; 3.Students were working as a team; 4

Approximately 96% ofthose roads have Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Surface1. Dynamic Modulus is an important property todesign, analyze and evaluate the performance of HMA surface. Vander Poel of the Shell OilCompany introduced the term “stiffness” in the early 1950s2. As materials used in HMA are notpurely elastic, the stiffness of HMA depends on

margins of formal course structures served to fill in the course’s gaps, helpingthe students overcome limitations such as course material not getting effectively delivered, students’varying degrees of understanding, and lack of time in class for students to coordinate. And morebroadly, students use these times to bond socially. The nearly universal remote learning necessitatedby the pandemic effectively eliminated these opportunities for informal interaction that actually madecourses work for students.Beginning in March of 2020 many colleges and universities, faced with the advent of the Covid-19pandemic, moved to remote learning. Because this change was both sudden and recent, the researchliterature of engineering education had not yet provided

). Introduction The causes of significant power outages in the US are hurricanes and storms. The recent winterstorm of 2021 that collapsed the Texas power grid and left millions of homes without electricity foralmost two weeks sparked much attention on renewable power generation. Unfortunately, theavailable residential PV solar BESS is not designed to solve this prolonged outage problem. Thebattery is crucial in renewable energy systems for storing electric energy. Then, the battery must bereliable enough to deliver the required energy and power at all times to the end-users. The solar powersystem is one of the best renewable energy technologies [1], cost-effective and environment-friendly.Solar energy is one of the sustainable forms of energy

most of the black students do not have sufficient academicpreparation for college-level mathematics [1]. The issue of under-preparation in freshmen studentsis in fact much wider which spans majority of the minority-serving institutions. Recent data publishedby the US Department of Education Office for Civil Rights [2] provide evidence that along withLatino students, African-American students are less likely to pass Algebra 1 and less likely to attendhigh schools that offer advanced classes in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics(STEM) and prepare them for the rigor of college mathematics. The same study also pointed outseveral reasons on this issue, including, funding inequities, lack of experienced STEM teachers, andlow

Tracking thesemeasurements highlights extremes in conversations, allowing educators to adjust their teachingmethods to improve turn counts and vocabulary use. Advancements in speech technology and naturallanguage processing can be used to automate this process by acquiring large amounts of conversationaldata and providing feedback from conversational analysis. For all analysis in this study, we referredto both text transcripts and speech/audio data of recording sessions. Trends were observed betweentopic initiations, turn rate, and target PMLU scores.Conversational Turn-takingA conversational turn
