The course descriptions for eachuniversity’s design course are included in Table 2 and Appendix B. Examining the capstonecourses for all universities, except for Virginia Tech, the most common words include design,engineers, and project, none surprising for a culminating design course. However, a few of theless used words are surprising, such as teams, report, and cost, although the lack of occurrencemay be due to the many synonyms such as peers/group, report, and economics.
